terms & conditions

payment: an invoice will be sent and payment is due within 30 days of the event, this is payable by bacs, cash or cheque. if payment isn't received in stated time, £1.00 each day it is overdue will be added and you will be liable to pay the extra charge.

our bookings vary in type therefore upon booking you will receive info on payment and deposit tailored to your specific booking.

 

deposit: a non refundable deposit is required to secure your time and date of your booking. this is mainly for parties, weddings and hendos. as our bookings vary so greatly, you will be advised on booking if a deposit is needed for your event type.

cancellation policy: deposits are 100% non-refundable. submission of the booking form commits you to pay in full for the event, regardless of notice given.

if a glitter artist/painter(S) are unable to attend your event due to unforeseen circumstances, glitteriot will try and find a replacement artist within the team or from a reputable company we we trust. in the unlikely event that we if we cannot find a replacement you will receive a full refund.

set up: if your event is outdoors, a cover/shelter is required for us to work at your event.

good lighting is required to some extent it is down to you to arrange to place us in a lighted area.

let us know in advance if you cannot supply tables, we always bring our chairs and can supply a table too if needed.

your responsibilities: it is a clients responsibility when booking a chosen event/venue to obtain permission for glitteriot to be at chosen event/venue.

it is a clients responsibility to inform our team if there are any persons that cannot be painted/glittered due to allergy or circumstance.

it is the clients responsibility to inform parents/guardians/persons that a glitter artist/face painter will be attending specified event.

general: our team will not paint any design that they find offensive. 

glitter riot will not apply glitter or facepaint to children under 3 years of age -we are not insured to and will not risk reaction as they have increased sensitivity at such a young age. we trust the word of parents/guardians/event host that children are over the age of 3 years old.

its assumed by the artist that any child that approaches them under the age of 16 to be painted/glittered, that the person supervising them has given them consent to be glittered/face painted - under no circumstances are we responsible or in care of such child and we can refuse to work on such child until they are supervised by their parent or guardian.

our team will encourage any who is reluctant to have a facepaint, however they will only paint anyone who chooses to be painted; this includes younger children, who may be distressed and unhappy about having their head held in place by a parent for them to be painted. we will not paint them!

assistance on closing the que at certain events may be needed, our team will alert the event organiser if they feel they will run over their booked time.

SAFETY: THE GLITTERIOT TEAM ARE ALL FULLY INSURED, AND SOME HOLD VALID CRB/DBS CHECKS HOWEVER THESE ARE NOT NESSACARY AS WE ARE IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES RESPONSIBLE OR IN CARE OF YOUR CHILD AT ANY TIME. PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS, PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN/ADULTS TO PLAY IN OUR DESIGNATED AREA, OR TO TOUCH ANY OF OUR EQUIPTMENT! ANY DAMAGES WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CLIENT.

all facepaints used by Glitteriot are hypo-allergenic and contain anti bacterial agents. they are safe to use on face and body, on children and adults, except for those with skin conditions.

all glitter is biodegradable and gel products  are natural aloe vera or professionally approved for use on skin.

glitteriot uses non-toxic, water based professional facepaint products. *all paints, glitters and makeup applied by glitteriot cannot be guaranteed to not cause any reaction or irritability of skin or eyes. if you agree to us applying our own products, you do so at your own risk.*

HYGIENE: ANYONE WITH A CONTRA-INDICATIOSUCHAS: COLDSORES,SUSPECTED IMPETIGO/RINGWORM, CONJUNCTIVITOUS, OPEN WOUNDS, APPARENT EYE OR SKIN INFECTION OR DISEASE CAN NOT BE GLITTERED/PAINTED.

OUR TEAM CAN REFUSE TO WORK ON ANY PERSON(S) THEY SUSPECT TO HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE CONTRAINDICATIONS, THEIR DECISIO IS FINAL. 

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF A SKIN REACTION (REDNESS/ITCHING/ DISCOMFORT/swelling) face paint should be washed off using er immediately. using soap or baby wipes to do so may aggravate the skin further!

one sponge per child is used to apply paints, brushed are washed between clients and all booking. 

paints are activated by fresh water sprays/pumps, water cups are used to rinse brushes and water is changed regularly throught the booking when necessary. 

some face paint colours may stain the skin slightly, if this is the case, an oil based product is recommended to remove this for suitable skin types which aren't allergic to such products.. 

glitter tattoos can be removed using oil based products, .

unicorn hair can be removed using flat pliers, pop the bead open and slide the hair extension out. 

it is recommended that water and a mild soap is used to remove glitter/face paint. paints are washable and can be removed with usual washing detergent. we take no responsibility in any staining of clothing.

PROMOTION: GLITTERIOT RESERVES THE RIGHTS TO PROMOTE THEIR BUISINESS WHERE APPROPRIATE VIA BUISINESS CARD, BRANDED PRESENTATION AND SOCIAL AT ANY EVENT, UNLESS REQUESTED NOT TO.

SOCIAL: BY BOOKING GLITTERIOT, YOU ARE AGREEING THAT PHOTOGRAPHS CAN BE TAKEN AT YOUR EVENT, INTENDED FOR ONINE PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY, ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR WEBSITE.

IN SOME INSTANCES, WE CAN EVEN PROMOTE YOUR EVENT THROUGH OUR SOCIAL media FOLLOWING.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF OUR WORK ON FACEPAINTED/GLITTERED CLIENTS MAY BE TAKEN BY GLITTERIOT, UNLESS REQUESTED NOT TO BY CLIENT/PARENTS/CHILDREN, WHO ARE ASKED  FOR THEIR CONSENT TO DO SO ONCE THEIR DESIGN IS FINISHED.
